About

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with 30 years of experience in helping individuals and families navigate the difficulties of life.  I am a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and happy pet owner of 2 cats and 2 dogs.  I have worked with individuals from all walks of life, dealing with challenges in every stage of life.  My professional and life experience has given me the ability to understand your needs while helping you prioritize and process the challenges you are facing.

I have served as an instructor and counselor in high school and college programs.  I have worked with individuals and families suffering grief and loss.  My years of working with Law Enforcement and First Responders have given me the specific experience to assist police, fire, and military personnel and their families with the unique challenges they face, including PTSD.  My diverse background as a therapist has given me extensive experience in a wide range of areas affecting individuals and families.

One of my specialties is working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with the many challenges of ADD/ADHD.  Many people are unaware that long term issues of time-management, poor organization, miscommunication, alcohol or drug use, may be symptoms of ADD/ADHD.  When even one person in a family has ADD/ADHD, the whole family feels the pain.
